REFLECTION

Ok now that 3N3 is over I will take a moment and reflect back, I put a lot of work and dedication into this. While I ran the whole time I started officially training for this on July 29th. I have ran 4 to 5 days a week every week since then. Running is something I enjoy but it is like I have said many times there is a big difference between running for fun and running for purpose. I am ready to get back to running for fun.(once I recover from Mercedes). I am more beat up from Mercedes than the other 2 but it was the fastest and I think the training has taken its toll. I have tried to do my running where it takes as little family time away as possible but would like to thank Amie and Ally for giving me the opportunity to train with no pressure and the awesome amount of support they have given me. Mercedes was the toughest race but the best because I got to see them several times along the way. Thank you to Charles for tour guiding them! Thank you to Glen for all of the time you put in with me running. I jokingly said I was hanging up my shoes but I think we all know this is not over. I have a hard time with something being "my moment". I also find myself thinking if I can do it anyone can. And they can but they gotta put the work in and most folks are not willing to do it. Thank you to the folks I mentioned above for letting me enjoy my moment.

Race week!!!

I am ready for Sunday!  At least I hope I am. I am ready for it to be over. I am also about ready for this weather to be over. Of course it does not take long to get tired of mowing the grass every week.

Two weeks out form Mercedes.

After a great run on Saturday her I am 2 weeks out. I find myself having to do a lot of self motivating.  I am sure as I work through the taper and rest my body up and get over this cold I will regain focus and enthusiasm.
